Formed in 1989, Vancouver Chinese Music Ensemble (VCME) is the first professional Chinese music group formed in North America. Concert programs draw from a vast repertoire of classical, popular and contemporary music that embraces both Chinese and Western musical traditions. VIM is a non-profit, charitable organization that supports Se:um and Jasmine Jazz as a presenter. VIM was established in 2011 with a mandate to develop a well-designed, central, accessible, sustainable and culturally diverse music centre.
